The Ganga Aarti that takes place in Banaras is very grand and religious. In the Ganga Aarti of Kashi, a lot of incense sticks are burnt, the lamps that are lit have a big fire in them and these lamps are very heavy. When the Ganges Aarti is performed, everyone takes Aarti from countless small lamps and also floats the lit lamps in the river Ganga; it is also a pleasant feeling to see these burning lamps in the river. This Aarti lasts for 45 minutes at 7:00 pm in summer and 6:30 pm in winter. The evening Aarti is more famous in Banaras, this aarti starts at 7 o’clock. Ganga Aarti Timing in Varanasi:
