Can You Change Names on American Airline Tickets?

The name change is free for passengers, who have changed their name legally but have to provide the relevant documents.
As per the American Airlines Name Correction Policy, you are only allowed to change three characters in the name.
If the ticket details do not match while verifying, then the airline will cancel the reservation.
To correct the name on the ticket use the “Manage Booking” option on the official website or call the airline help center.
Passengers cannot change the entire name on the ticket but can only make the correction.
The ticket name has to match the name on your passport.
