Alloy 904L or UNS N08904 is a super Austenitic Stainless Steel. SS 904L is a combination of high Chromium and Nickel with additional Molybdenum and Copper. It includes 25% Nickel and 4.5% Molybdenum, which has excellent corrosion resistance. This alloy is widely used because of the property of high corrosion resistance in a wide range of process environments. It also offers resistance to stress, corrosion cracking resistance, pitting, and general corrosion. SS 904L is a lower carbon version of Austenitic Stainless Steel that is suitable for diluting sulfuric acid environments.
