NUI Galway students created the Project Dash (Driving All Students Home). Even without cash, a bank card, or a phone, it enables students to acquire taxis. Since the service’s debut in Galway and Carlow, thousands of college students and some taxi companies have enrolled for it. In order to launch the project, Richie Commins, a final-year NUI Galway student studying corporate information systems who oversaw its creation, was at UCC yesterday.
